Level Trust’s SMASH Summer School is a series of four free week-long holiday programmes for 8-12 year-old children in Luton who live below the poverty line. It improves their confidence, literacy skills and social skills, and gives them experiences they’d normally miss out on.
In 2017, the two SMASH programmes are themed around drama & performing arts and football. 75 children will attend each week. That means 300 children over four weeks. That means a lot of happy children.
Level Trust is looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to create fun and exciting visual media of the SMASH summer school. This media will be used to both publicise the project and demonstrate to its funder, Children In Need, how we have met key outcomes.
Throughout the four weeks you will attend SMASH at key times to capture the best images and footage, the rest of the time working independently to turn it into original content that gets to the heart of what SMASH does: enrich the lives of children living in poverty and raise their aspirations.
SMASH will take place from 31st July 2017 - 25th August 2017.
